About

Idcin machines are 2 Dell PowerEdge T630 equiped with GPUs.

Full hardware specs
  • idcin-1
    • Dell PowerEdge T630
    • 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2697 v3 @ 2.60GHz/14 cores (28 cores/node)
    • 1x Nvidia Tesla K40c + 1x Nvidia GeForce Titan Black + 1x Nvidia GeForce Titan X
    • 1x Intel 10Gb Ethernet
    • 1x Mellanox ConnetX3-IB FDR (setup with QDR only)

(The Titan X GPU of idcin-1 was removed due to some hardware stability issues. It is furthmore used by another project now)

  • idcin-2
    • Dell PowerEdge T630
    • 2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2697 v3 @ 2.60GHz/14 cores (28 cores/node)
    • 3x Nvidia GeForce Titan X
    • 1x Intel 10Gb Ethernet
    • 1x Mellanox ConnetX3-IB FDR (setup with QDR only)
Software

The machines use Grid'5000's Debian jessie-x64-std as its default environment (OS). Besides, the machines are kadeployable.

Tips

To reserve idcin-2 explicitly (change 2 to 1 for idcin-1), you can run:

oarsub -p "machine = 'idcin' and host like 'idcin-2.%'" -I -l walltime=1

(machine = 'idcin' is required)

Acknowlegdment

Appart from the acknowledgment for Grid'5000, Inria and LIG, please do add an acknowledgment to Nvidia if you did use the Nvidia K40 for your research, which is a donation from Nvidia.

We gratefully acknowledge the support of NVIDIA Corporation with the donation of the Tesla K40 GPU used for this research to Inria.

The idcin machines as well as the Titan Black and Titan X GPUs were funded by the Kinovis project.
